The ceremony, which took place at 8:00 AM IST, was attended by high-ranking government officials, dignitaries, and citizens.


Following the flag hoisting, PM Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort, highlighting the government's achievements, national issues, and the path forward for India's growth and development. The address was broadcast live on the Press Information Bureau's official YouTube channel and Doordarshan's DD National channel.


Nationwide celebrations are underway, with flag-hoisting ceremonies, parades, and cultural events being held in schools, colleges, and government institutions. Security measures were in place to ensure a smooth and safe celebration. The nation has come together to commemorate its independence and celebrate its rich heritage.
