CSK Halt KKR's Winning Streak as Ruturaj Gaikwad Shines with 67 Runs
In yesterday's IPL match, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 7 wickets at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK chose to bowl first, and their decision proved to be a good one. Ravindra Jadeja was the star performer with the ball, taking 3 wickets for just 18 runs. KKR were restricted to a score of 137 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs.
Chasing a modest target, CSK openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Dube got their team off to a good start. While Dube departed after scoring 22, Gaikwad held firm and anchored the chase. He remained unbeaten on 67, guiding his team to victory with 14 balls to spare. This win ended KKR's unbeaten run in the IPL 2024 season.
